Why we educate youth
to protect pangolins and
our ecosystem
Our youth education pack raises awareness about pangolins and their role in our ecosystem among African school children.
Our Aim is to encourage Africaโs next generation to join in efforts to protect this vulnerable species and to become environmental champions.
Our Goal is to empower children, and those who deliver the programme, to be a powerful voice of protection for the pangolin that is heard within and beyond their communities.

What our Education Programme does to protect Africaโs pangolins
Our education pack teaches youth about pangolins, why they are a unique part of Africaโs heritage, and why they need to be protected. With the support of our trusted partners, we deliver packs to local teachers, environmental club staff, and other community leaders who deploy the course using the packs we provide.
This approach enables us to tailor course materials for the needs and local languages of school children. Our focus is on schools based where pangolins are found naturally in the wild. These are also regions with high poaching risk, and where poaching is sometimes part of livelihoods or cultural traditions.
