Meet the team
Director & Executive Board Member
UK native, based in South Africa for over 20 years. Marine Zoology and Zoology graduate from Bangor University and FGASA level-one guide. Founder of Pangolin Photo Safaris and Pangolin.Africa, combining a passion for wildlife conservation with technology-driven marketing expertise.
Finance Manager & Executive Board Member
Cape Town native with 14 years in tourism, previously Head of Finance at a major destination management company. Degree in Cost and Management Accounting and pursuing a CIMA qualification. Also Financial Manager for the Pangolin Photo Safaris Group.
Conservation Projects Manager & Executive Board Member
12-year conservationist, wildlife photographer and guide. Master's degree in Conservation Ecology. Former head of the conservation unit at the Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa. IUCN SSC Pangolin Specialist Group member.
Programme Manager
Environmental Science undergraduate and City Planning postgraduate with a background in tourism and tech. Driven to make conservation tangible while protecting the world's most trafficked mammal.
Northern Cape Project Manager
Qualified veterinary nurse with 30+ years rehabilitating wild animals, including pangolins. Completed a wildlife rehabilitation course at N/a'an ku sê Wildlife Sanctuary, Namibia, and trained in pangolin-specific rehabilitation at Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital.
Pangolin Specialist
Donald works across a range of Pangolin Africa’s conservation programmes, with a particular focus on the rehabilitation, release and post-release monitoring of Temminck’s pangolins. His field experience includes tracking and monitoring released pangolins, assessing their adaptation to the wild and using this information to help inform rehabilitation and release decisions. His work has also involved in national and regional efforts to improve pangolin conservation practices, strengthen collaboration between conservation organisations and government, and bridge the gap between ex-situ rehabilitation and long-term in-situ conservation.
