Inspiring Future Vets: Tuks Students Host Pangolin Interest Group with Nicci Wright

On Thursday last week, Pangolin Africa hosted our second Pangolin Interest Group session with the Tuks veterinary students, and it was an unforgettable afternoon!

The session kicked off with a screening of the powerful documentary Eye of the Pangolin, giving students a deeper look into the realities facing the world's most trafficked mammal. Following the film, we hosted an engaging Q&A session with Nicci Wright from the African Pangolin Working Group (APWG).

Nicci is a qualified Wildlife Rehabilitation Specialist as well as the APWG's co-chair and executive director. Having worked hands-on with pangolins since 2008, Nicci is a truly respected and authoritative voice in pangolin conservation.

We were absolutely delighted to bring Nicci and the passionate Tuks veterinary students together for such an insightful discussion. We are already looking forward to our next meeting as we help shape the next generation of wildlife defenders!
