Pangolin Guardians community grows to include Singita

Safari guides and staff at Singita Private Game Reserve have now joined our Pangolin Guardians, strengthening Pangolin.Africa’s impact on African pangolin conservation and awareness..

Pangolin.Africa is proud to announce that its flagship Pangolin Guardian programme is now available to guides, trackers, and staff at Singita. The move strengthens both the global guardian community and the luxury brand’s conservation commitments.

“We are thrilled to welcome Singita to the Pangolin Guardian community and are proud that they recognise the valuable information and impact the course has for those wanting to protect pangolins and safeguard Africa’s natural heritage,” says Pangolin.Africa Founder Toby Jermyn.

The Pangolin Guardian programme aims to improve education and awareness around Africa’s four pangolin species. The programme empowers those living and working where the creatures naturally occur with knowledge on how to treat, track, and take care of the animal.

The programme is also a powerful tool for those who are passionate about protecting pangolins and safeguarding the future of Africa’s vulnerable wildlife.

Now added to Singita’s internal e-learning platform, the programme will now be available to staff in all regions, including those leading safari experiences and making important conservation decisions.

“This programme is all about increasing awareness and support through education, and well aligned to our conservation commitment, ensuring we play our part in safeguarding Africa’s unique biodiversity and iconic wilderness areas to ensure people and wildlife can co-exist and thrive, both now and in the future,” says Inge Kotze, Head of Conservation at Singita.

An ecotourism and conservation brand based in South Africa, Singita operates 16 luxury game lodges in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Rwanda. Since opening its first property in 1993, it has been steadfast in its support of sustainability, environmentally conscious hospitality, and the empowerment of local communities.
