Satellite tracker

R5,000.00

Satellite tracking is vital for helping us to monitor a pangolin that has just been released. They are very expensive pieces of kit but worth every penny. We monitor released pangolins for the first 3-6 months using these trackers and then they are removed. The tracker is then returned to the manufacturer for a new battery to be installed. A R5000 donation will purchase 25% of a tracker for us.

Description

With a satellite tracker costing in the region of R20,000, they are not cheap. This also includes the cost of the data used to transmit the pangolin’s location. We have decided to break the cost of each tracker down into quarters to make it more accessible to the majority of donors. If you are perhaps involved in the satellite tracking industry (or indeed any related industry that can track wild animals) we would love to hear from you as we are always on the lookout for lighter and cheaper tracking solutions.

If you are in a position to donate a whole tracker then please add 4 of these items to your cart before checking out.
